Short Term Arts & Education Residency
Aitina offers flexible short-term residency programs designed for out-of-town educational institution requests. Each residency can be customized based on your needs and interests.
Arts & Education Residency Programs offer a dynamic combination of Aitina Fareed-Cooke’s Keynote Speaking and Presentation, alongside captivating musical performances and diverse visual and literary arts activities.
This powerful integration creates an unparalleled experience designed to educate, engage, and empower a wide range of audiences, including universities, higher education institutions, adult educators, and creatives.
By bringing together these varied opportunities, Aitina significantly amplifies impact, fostering a rich environment for learning and inspiration that resonates deeply across these different sectors.
This type of residency has worked best spread across 3-4 days. To help determine the daily schedule, it is recommended that you discuss your preferred focus areas and the desired level of engagement for each day. This will ensure a tailored experience that meets your objectives while maximizing the impact of the residency on your students/educators.

Aitina offers customizable long-term residency programs designed for educational institutions and community based organizations. For long-term residencies please request a “Let’s Get Fokus’d Discovery” meeting
Teaching empathy through digital storytelling & literary arts
I develop and design curriculums to expand perspectives and build empathy by encouraging participants to develop, build and write digital (photo/visual) and narrative based stories. By exploring and sharing stories, participants learn to appreciate different perspectives and develop a deeper level of empathy for others.
Curriculums/Programs are customizable to support the goals of a program, event, etc.
Fokus’d Kreatives: Digital Storytelling Residencies
Through hands-on experience with digital cameras, iPads, and lighting equipment, students will grasp the fundamentals of photography while incorporating literary elements to weave narratives inspired by their photos. The world is a blank canvas and the pen is our paintbrush.
We get to choose how we will use our words in order to create a voice. Our voice becomes acrylic. With this Acrylic we have the potential to ignite thought within others.
