The Tales from the Porch: Expanding Perspectives Project was created and designed by Aitina Fareed-Cooke in order to expand perspectives and build empathy among community members through hands-on digital storytelling and literary arts engagements. 

Participants use digital tools such as cameras, iPads, and other materials in order to develop, capture, and write poetic and photographic stories by exploring and sharing experiences. Through this process, participants foster an appreciation of different perspectives and deepen empathy for others.
